Three Rivers

Meet Three Rivers
Lauren
As the leader of the group, Lauren teaches the repertoire and writes her own arrangements for many of the songs. She has always sung and studied music throughout her school years and has shown a love and natural talent for harmony since a young age. After meeting Lucy & Emily in different Bristol choirs, she formed the trio who have been singing together since 2016. Lauren is heavily influenced by vocal Jazz artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, and has a deep love of folk, Americana, country and gospel music. She loves to share the joy of singing in groups and occasionally leads singing workshops in and around Bristol.

Emily
Emily lives in Somerset and is a soulful vocalist whose rich tones captivate audiences and elevate harmonies. Her early influences include iconic artists like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child, Pink, Dido, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, all of whom have shaped her singing style. She has been part of choirs and various bands for many years. Her passion for soul, jazz and blues bring a unique vocal quality to the trio, along with her warmth and energy.
Lucy
Lucy grew up singing with her brother and, as a teenager, learnt classical singing. She sang in the Derby girls’ choir, 'Voices', beating an intense shyness to become a regular soloist and achieving Grade 8 Singing along the way. For reasons no-one understands, Lucy barely sang a note in her twenties. Luckily, after moving to Bristol she found the Bristol Georgian Choir, which helped her regain her voice and introduced her to Lauren. When Lucy isn’t singing, you’ll find her working at amazing local funder, Quartet Community Foundation, and avoiding her unruly allotment.
